ready for the third gallery

These three are going to The Dunes Gallery as soon as I can deliver them. All three were very difficult to photograph accurately and look better in real life, and I forgot to take a picture of "Kitchen Table" , done on suede matboard, until it was framed under glass.  All are oil pastels

I've been out a few times with my oil pastels and have done some plein air work, just little ones. They are posted in the blog section of my page on the Plein Air Painters website.

Winter 2012

First commission of 2012:

 This is a scene from the unique Caribbean island of Saba. The reference photo is mine, taken in March 2011, and is a view of Mt. Scenery, a dormant volcano. The person who commissioned it had spent time on Saba the previous year.




I am now represented in Saint John by Handworks Gallery. 
These 3 paintings (from 2011 except for the third one, which was completed this year) are now hanging there.

This is a small gouache study. I will likely use it for a studio painting later on.
